My Residential Capstone Project melds two styles — Hawaiian plantation and the modern beach cottage to honor the clients’ Hawaiian heritage. It is located on the sunny, south shore of Kauai, Hi. Indoor/outdoor living drives the design. Some of the house features include, a large lanai, a casual open layout, and board and batten cladding — design details found in traditional Hawaiian plantation homes.
